OTRONICON is once again prepared to invade the Orlando Science Center on January 15th bringing it’s explorations in science, art, technology, and careers to the areas while allowing visitors to experience the fun behind simulation, robotics, videogames, virtual reality and digital media. Each year, multiple industry partners join the Science Center to celebrate how digital media technologies impact the way we live, learn, work and play. The convention is heading into it’s 11th year.
This event aims to spark interest in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) careers through the appeal of interactive technology such as video games, simulation and virtual reality and aims to promote the innovation happening in our own backyard by providing access to the creative professionals and technology that calls Central Florida home. Orlando is one of the largest digital media and simulation clusters in the country, which includes more than 1,200 companies, 30,000 creative specialists and estimated annual revenue of $9 billion.
This year’s line-up features a full slate of guest speakers, live music, game competition and displays. Tickets range from $20 to $13 dollars and the convention will run through Monday.
