The Central Florida Housing and Lodging Association recently honored Orange County Comptroller Martha Haynie as it’s 2015 Public Servant of the year. The award is given to a community leader that is dedicated to the advancement of tourism and hospitality in the region.
The CFHLA praises the longtime Comptroller for her fiscal responsibility and management of the region’s Tourism Development Tax. Haynie will be retiring after 27 years in office.
The award was given to Haynie at the CFHLA STR luncheon. Other local leaders on hand included Orange County Commissioners Scott Boyd, Pete Clarke, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings, and Orange County Property Appraiser Rick Singh.
