On Tuesday, Universal Parks and Resorts announced that they would be bringing the world of Nintendo to their theme parks, including Universal Studios here in Orlando.
Universal has large and immersive themed areas planned, filled with attractions, restaurants and shops with the purpose of making visitors feel like their playing in their favorite Nintendo video games.
“We’re always looking for the next great idea and the next great place to take people and Nintendo fit the bill.” said Mark Woodbury from Universal Creative.
The Nintendo themed area will join other already popular themed areas like the ones from the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
“We our constantly amazed at how developers are bringing the essence of our games into the real world.” said Shigerum Miyamoto from Nintendo “We are working hard to make the attraction fun for people of every age. I think Mario will feel like he finally came home.”
