On Monday morning, Orange County Sheriff Jerry Demings, Mayor Teresa Jacobs, and FBI officials held a press conference regarding a shooting that took place earlier in the morning, killing six people including, the gunmen who committed suicide.
“Today is a sad day for Orange County.” said Demings, who said that the shooting took place around 8:03 in the morning at Fiamma Inc, an RV Accessory company. The forty five year old shooter, who is a former employee that has yet to be named, entered the facility with a handgun and a knife and opened fire. There are three male victims and two female victims. Seven people in the building survived the attack and are being interview by law enforcement.
The attack has no apparent connections to any terrorism activity. The shooter was terminated from the company in April and was the subject of a case of battering an employee three years ago. He also has a criminal history involving various offenses.
Law enforcement could possibly release the names of the victims and the shooter later in the day.
